June Monthly Update

Updated: Jun 17

Starting to see some improvements as China heads into summer and COVID 19 lockdowns reduce.

We have a shipment of NanoVNAs arriving this week as well as a pre-sold Anytone 878 shipment.

Two additional shipments from Anytone will arrive early July.

We have also been able to negotiate better shipping with our antenna suppliers so have placed orders, but these are likely to take 8 weeks to arrive.

New Products

We now have in stock a low cost 0.1-50MHz Digital SWR/Power Meter for up to 120W.

We often get asked about mounts for the CB style 5/16 base, we now have an adaptor that allows these antennas to be used on a standard SO239 Base

Product Focus - SDRs

You may have seen quite a few SDRs come on the market based on the non RTL design, using Mirics Semiconductor MSI2500/2501 chips like the SDR Play etc. We have a couple of options including one input models as well as input band segmented units. These offer great coverage up to 2GHz, work with a variety of software and are very low cost (from $39)! We have had reports their HF sensitivity is much better than RTL based units.

Important notice - no shipping from the 15th June

We will not be able to ship anything from the 15 June and 26th June as we are overseas for business. We will still be responding to inquiries via email or chat.

New service - order by chat

We can now accept orders by chat - we will send a payment request as part of this for those that don’t wish to use the online facility.

Why preorder?

Our website does not allow backorders, so for items that are in demand we do occasionally set up preorders for those that want to get in the queue. Preorders are usually at a discount to reflect the lower cost of business when doing this and can be cancelled/refunded at any time prior to use sending out the goods.

Until next month 73’s, we will see some you next weekend at Wauchope.

We have been getting a few inquiries about eta’s. Unfortunately we are unable to provide etas mostly due to the ongoing Covid Zero policy in China, which is causing ongoing confusion and disruption. O

Firstly thanks to our patient customers waiting order shipment over the last two weeks. We were unable to get things out as fast as we wanted owing to frequent migraine attacks over a couple of days.
