The inaugural Warrnambool Hamfest is a new event on the Amateur Radio calendar. One we hope will continue on beyond this event. It came about from the desire of us hams here in the Western District to get something happening post lockdown. With restrictions easing we felt the time was right to organise an event that was local to us. Whilst most of us travel to other hamfests, an event of our own was appealing. With active operator numbers growing in the district, we now have the manpower, and enthusiasm, to take on an event like this. We hope to provide everyone a good fun radio day.
